These terms govern your use of ohrjudaica.co.za and every purchase made through it. They are written to be read, not buried.

Who you're dealing with

ohrjudaica.co.za is operated by Ohr Judaica (Pty) Ltd, trading from Genesis Shopping Centre, Lower Level, 10 Sandler Road, Fairmount, Johannesburg, South Africa ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to these terms, together with our Returns & Refunds, Shipping & Delivery, Payment and Privacy policies, which form part of them.

Orders and acceptance

• Displaying products on the site is an invitation to do business, not a binding offer. Your order is an offer to purchase; a contract comes into existence when we confirm dispatch.
• We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, where payment fails or is reversed, or where a clearly material pricing error has occurred — in which case anything you have paid is refunded in full, promptly.
• Many of our pieces are handmade or imported in limited quantities. Where an ordered item proves unavailable, we will contact you with the choice of a comparable alternative, a back-order, or a full refund.

Prices

• All prices are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable.
• Delivery fees are shown separately at checkout before you pay.
• We may change prices at any time, but never for an order already placed and paid.

Product descriptions

We describe and photograph every piece as accurately as we can. Handmade and hand-finished items — hammered metals, blown glass, embroidered textiles — vary slightly from piece to piece; that variation is the nature of the craft, not a defect. Screens render colour differently from life, and dimensions given are approximate within reasonable tolerance.

Your statutory rights

Delivery and risk

Ownership of goods passes to you on full payment; risk passes on delivery. Delivery timeframes are estimates, as set out in our Shipping & Delivery policy. Please ensure someone is available to receive fragile parcels at the delivery address.

Use of the site

You may not use the site unlawfully, attempt to breach its security, or reproduce its content — text, photography, design — for commercial purposes without our written permission. All content is our property or used under licence.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or delay in delivery. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability under the CPA for defective goods.

General

• These terms are governed by South African law, and South African courts have jurisdiction.
• If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
• We may update these terms from time to time; the version on the site at the time of your order applies to that order.
